The recipient of an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, Ed Baker cofounded two successful online enterprises while enrolled in the school. After graduating as an Arjay Miller Scholar (in the top 10 percent of his class), Ed Baker cofounded Friend.ly, a question-and-answer website that accumulated over 25 million registered users within a three-year period.

In 2011, Friend.ly was acquired by Facebook, and Ed Baker was hired by the company to serve as head of international growth. He led growth initiatives in emerging markets such as Africa, India, and Southeast Asia and was with the company when it first hit 1 billion monthly active users. His success in viral growth strategies was noticed by Uber, where he was hired as vice president of growth in 2013.

Since leaving Uber in 2017, Mr. Baker has focused on leveraging his viral growth experience and education to advise startup companies. He's currently advising Change.org, CrowdPac, LimeBike, and Zwift. In addition to an MBA, Mr. Baker holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University, where he was captain of the varsity cross country team and earned NCAA Regional All American recognition.
