Irene Suico Soriano is a Filipina American award-winning writer and independent Curator living in Los Angeles.

FILM PROGRAMMING

April 2014 - co-programming Film Independent/ Project Involve's showcase with Sundance Film Festival Programmer, Kim Yutani and Project Involve Programming Track '14 Fellow, Lucy Mukerjee-Brown

February 2014 -co-curated "Flipping The Music Video" a unique showcase of music videos from the Philippine transnational music diaspora with Elaine Dolalas for the Echo Park Film Center

2013 -programmed Film Independent/ Project Involve's showcase at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Linwood Dunn Theater with Sundance Film Festival Programmer, Kim Yutani.

2009 -curated an evening of short films from the Philippines as a collaborative effort between the Echo Park Film Center's Thursday Night Program and Project: Pacific Pipeline.

2005 -part of the Short Film Screeners Team for the Los Angeles Film Festival

2004 -co-curated for IFP, Project Involve's Showcase that screened in CineSpace along with Project Involve Film Programming Track co-alum Kim Yutani & Julianna Brannum.

2003 -Fall cycle IFP:Project Involve Fellow under the Film Programming Career Track and was mentored by IFP/Los Angeles Film Festival's Director of Programming, Rachel Rosen.

2002 -Short Film Programming Committee member for the Visual Communications Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film & Video Festival and wrote Festival notes for selected feature films

2002 -Co-curated with filmmaker, Rima Anosa, the Visions and Voyages: Images of Filipinos in America Film Festival for the Filipino American National Historical Society at Loyola Marymount University
