Eydie has been a widow since October 2010. The passing of her husband was sudden. She went through denial, disbelief, the anger and self-blame, depression and finally, the acceptance of her husband’s death. Now, close to 8 years later, Eydie has come to a place in her life where she knows that she can help other widows and widowers with their healing process...and helping them find their new normal.

Then in August of 2018 she lost her fiancé. Once again she walked the path of grief.

Early in 2001, Eydie started her first business. She began as a Web Designer, then moving into the Virtual Assistance world. When Social Media took off, Eydie jumped onto the scene and quickly began writing about using social networks for business marketing. She started managing the social media marketing end of her client's businesses, and then went back into Web Design when WordPress arrived. As an active blogger, Eydie has taught many business owners how to blog their marketing messages.

Since 2012, Eydie has wanted to help widows and widowers get through the grieving and healing process, but didn't know where to begin. After her husband, Dale, passed away she began her own grief blog. Writing about her pain, fears, and her journey to healing has helped her find her "new normal".

Two years after writing her first blog post, she began reading her blog posts from the most current all the way back to the first post. She was stunned, and pleased, to see how far she had come along since that fateful day in October of 2010. As she read her blog posts, she was able to practically see the tears dripping off the words she typed. Is she the same person today - the same person who typed those tearful words of grief years past? Yes, she was the same person, and no --- she changed. She became more independent, self-assured of herself, brave, and a much stronger woman. Stronger than she's ever been. Reading all her posts had given her tangible proof that she was moving on with her life and that the pain of her loss, and the hole in her heart, were being healed.
