For the past two and a half years I have been exploring my personal artistic voice. Now, in my final year of academia, I am fully aware of that voice and of the changes it will continue to make as I age and mature, not only as an artist, but as a person. Our world is dimensional thus my appeal towards sculptural objects and the process of constructing. While I primarily work with wood and metal, I enjoy the exploration into the process of creating art. I identify the context of a piece with it's medium and play with the barriers and freedoms of each material. As an artist, I feel as though I have a social responsibility to educate and engage with an audience. Often those issues relate to the cultural environment in which we live, but also have a tendency to play from a more personal note.
