Fareed is seeking new career opportunities within the public or private sectors. He has a distinguished 30 year career leveraging his knowledge and expertise in public affairs, government relations/advocacy and strategic communications to advance a wide range of public policy causes in the public and private sectors. He has been viewed by associates as an integral partner who counsels senior executives, managers and politicians on public policy and strategic communications initiatives with the goal of articulating merits to, and gaining consensus from, valued stakeholders.

His knack for articulate message development and delivery allows him to address complex issues and forge networks of influential contacts at the local, provincial, and federal government levels. During his career he has developed and implemented numerous successful public affairs, communications, and media strategies addressing a broad range of public policy issues and communications challenges at all levels of government. Some of the policy areas in which Fareed has worked include: immigration; human rights; affordable housing; economic development; tax policy; health care; public transit; the environment; telecommunications and technology; air transport infrastructure; education; free trade; constitutional and privacy issues to name a few.

He entered the field of public affairs via the Canadian political scene and government at the federal and provincial levels. He has worked as a political organizer and with the prime minister's tour and advance office and served on the staff of federal and provincial ministers.

During his career Fareed has established and managed the integrated government relations/advocacy, public affairs and stakeholder relations operations for business and professional associations with memberships from 2,000 to 20,000+.

Fareed has also held positions on the boards of local and national business and charitable organizations in Toronto and Ottawa and has led initiatives that have raised more than $350,000 for various charities over the past two decades.
