A new role in 2015 - Head of Library Experience and Access Department at Oregon State University's Library and Press! In the past I was Coordinator of Library Services for Distance Learning at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2008 -2014, where I grew and marketed distance + online learning services and instructional technologies for the library; served as Interim Head of the new Digital Media Commons for a year, working with faculty and students on multimedia related projects; and developed the start of a makerspace, receiving a grant to train librarians around that state on the concepts concluding with a conference AcadeMAKE on Feb 20 2015.

With a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Maryland and BA in Geography from the Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering, I love all types of libraries: served as library consultant serving all types of libraries through the Colorado Library Consortium (before that Southwest Library Services before it was closed), a Map/GIS Librarian at the University of Colorado at Boulder and a middle school librarian in Howard County Maryland. I have presented and published on various topics such as green libraries, distance and online learning, instructional design and technology tools, and loves change and learning new things. Yes I actually enjoy facilitating meetings, organizing events, and managing projects - the key is collaboration with team players! Being green at heart since childhood, I has been blogging at Going Green @your library for several years & tweeting @greenyourlib. Outside of work you will find me cooking, hiking, biking, fishing, gardening - anything outdoors!
