FLASH HARRY

The Man They Call Flash

In 1974 Flash Harry came out of his mothers fanny quite fast, it shocked all the nurses at the time and an asian doctor who was watching from the doorway. His father wanted to call him Flash from day one, but his mum insisted on Paul, after the American sounding Radio 2 DJ and music boffin Paul Gambaccini. In 1982 at the tender age of 7 Paul joined the school choir, he had one of the deepest voices in the class and yet he could still hit those really high notes that blonde haired church boys reach, like Aled Jones.

At the age of 9 Paul learnt to play the piano and flute (not at the same time, that was to come later in his teens), he was a very lucky boy as he comes from a very musical family, infact his mum and dad had a radio in every room of the house.

Paul started producing in early 1990, using basic analogue recording equipment and an Atari 1040st, he also took more piano lessons off an over friendly neighbour called Camp Pat who died of a rare foot disease in 2003. It wasn't until 1995 when he joined the newly formed Tidy Trax label did Paul begin to shine, his first big track was 'Mistakes' under the name Bulletproof, he then went on to be one of Tidy's leading producers, with hit after hit under the names, Dutch Courage, Bulletproof, Dancefloor Glory, Hi-Jackers, FlashHeadz, Disposable Disco Dubs and then in 2001 the infamous Flash Harry. It was his remix of Til Tears Do Us Part by Heavens Cry which made the world sit up and look at his pretty face and average hair style.

As well as producing music for Televison and other dance labels, Flash Harry is now out on the road bringing his unique hard house party grooves and productions to the clubbing nation. Catch him on tour with the Tidy Boys at their Limited gigs and also at many of the new IDEAL events.
