Foster Werner

Over the course of his over 30-year-long career, Foster Werner has enjoyed success as a senior executive at a number of companies. Today, he is the Managing Director of Foster Werner Associates, an international real estate consulting firm that began operating in 1997. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Werner served as the Director of Global Real Estate for Avaya. In his first year with the company, he effected a dramatic change in the department’s productivity. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Werner held the position of Senior Director of Corporate Real Estate and Facilities at Philips Electronics North America, where he led the development of a centralized real estate management department resulting in operating savings of over $100 million.

Before going into consulting, Foster Werner was the Vice President of the AIG Global Real Estate Investment Group. During this period, he managed all of AIG’s real estate and facilities in Russia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. From 1995 to 1997, he was the Vice President and Managing Principal for the management consulting firm Satulah Group (Jones Lang LaSalle). Prior to 1995, Mr. Werner spent six years as the Vice President of Citigroup, where he successfully oversaw the real estate, construction and management of headquarter facilities around the globe. Before joining Citigroup, Foster Werner worked with Silverstein Properties, the MONY Group, ADP, Honeywell, and International Paper.

After completing Army service, Foster Werner earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1974. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Real Estate Group and CoreNet Global. In his free time he enjoys hiking, biking, and reading. Mr. Werner lists David McCullouch, Malcolm Gladwell, and John Keegan amongst his favorite authors.
