Bernhard Fragner

Austria

Bernhard Fragner is entrepreneur & visionary, currently CEO and founder of GlobeAir AG.

A passionate aviator himself, Bernhard is a strong believer in revolutionizing short-haul travelling by applying an air taxi model, maximising aircraft utilization and building strong IT support.

However, his main focus is on customer service. With this in mind, it is not surprising that GlobeAir, which is headquartered in Austria, was one of the first movers in the air taxi business. Since early 2011 the business jet airline has been operating the world’s largest homogeneous fleet of Cessna Citation Mustang, currently counting 11 planes with serious plans in place to ramp up to 15 aircraft by May 2013.

Bernhard is driven by his personal mantra ‘Passion into Profession’ and pushes his team to new limits each day, making sure particularly customer service – one of the main pillars of GlobeAir’s business model – is performed with extreme precision and care to exceed clients wishes & expectations. He has become a very active and valued member of the entry light jet community.

Together with his partners Claudio Bruno (COO) and Mauro De Rosa (CMO) Bernhard has managed to position GlobeAir as an innovative market leader in Europe, providing clients with a newly enriched experience in customer care.

Bernhard graduated as a civil engineer in mechanical plant design and received an MBA in aviation management from the Blue Danube University in Linz, Austria. Furthermore, Bernhard holds an ATPL license, including a type instructor endorsement and a JAR-FCL type rating examiner authorization.

After having worked as a commercial director in industrial plant design for several years he was trained in all JAR post holder management positions at mainly JAAT in The Netherlands.

Bernhard currently resides in upper Austria with his wife and one daughter.
