Soprano Francesca Federico was born in Paris, France and is based in New York City. In the 2018-19 season, she was Anna Gomez in Menotti’s The Consul with Bronx Opera, soloist with Os Ensemble, premiering works by Paola Prestini and Eve O'Donnell, and winner of a grant from the Anna Sosenko Assist Trust. She joins the Teatro Nuovo festival this summer, covering Ninetta in Rossini’s La Gazza Ladra. Recent engagements include Soprano Soloist in the premiere of Brad Balliett’s The Universal Drum, “Lyric Soprano/Naftalina” in the premiere of Constantin Basica’s Knot an Opera!, and Artist Fellow with the Art Song Preservation Society Festival. Ms. Federico received her Master’s degree from the Mannes Conservatory, and a Bachelor’s degree in Global Politics from New York University.
