Franco Monsalvo
CTO and Co-Founder in Buenos Aires, Argentina
I am software development consultant with a special knack for front-end technologies and deep business understanding in the fields of digital media, entertainment and advertising. I have 15+ years of solid experience in the software industry.
I started when I was just a kid hacking games and developing for fun, and became a very serious web developer over the years. Back in the day I created pocket pc apps for the sales industry. Later on I moved to the telcos world, where I specialized in the creation of visually impressing information dashboards using Silverlight among other cutting edge front-end technologies.
I joined Globant in 2008, focusing my efforts in Web Sites and SPAs, and have worked with clients such as: JWT, Digitaria, Kantar Media, Salesforce and Disney among others. I was responsible for creating stunning web sites, breathtaking applications and POCs with HTML5, 3D rendering, and streaming technologies.
From 2011 til 2015 I worked as the head of UI for the Creative and Social Studio and the lead of the UI engineering practice. Among other industry recognitions, I used to be a LightHouse keeper for the Prototype.js project and have contributed code to several open source JavaScript frameworks.
After leaving Globant I became the head of UI/UX for GLobalLogic LatAm focusing on the company capacity, technology and new trends for Mobile, UX and Frontend technologies.
I became CTO for LATAM the same year, working with the technical team in the region to provide solutions to all our customers in the LATAM region and US. During this time I was responsible for the technical career of the entire 600+ employees of the company and also creating an environment of recognized technical expertise.
Nowadays I divide my time between being the CTO for a digital agency in Argentina and the CTO of a company that creates solutions in the gated communities industry.
I'm passionate about technology, traveling around the world, and football (Or soccer for the US audience ;) ).
