I'm the Campaigns Director at Seedrs, a Europe-wide equity crowdfunding platform which gives investors the opportunity to invest from £10 upwards in the startups they choose, and gives entrepreneurs with great ideas the opportunity to raise money from their friends, family, network and the crowd.

We pride ourselves on our professionalism, taking care to ensure that deals are sensibly structured to give everyone involved the best possible chance of making this a rewarding way to raise capital. We're a regulated financial services business, and proud of being trailblazers in our market.

I started out as a lawyer in the City, working for a couple of major US-headquartered firms in London, specialising in private equity. I then managed and wrote for legendary legal news and community site RollOnFriday for a couple of years, before joining Seedrs in the autumn of 2012.

My role isto find great entrepreneurs for whom equity crowdfunding done properly can be an amazing, transformative experience - whether that's raising their first external round, scaling a growing business, having the crowd invest alongside institutions, or giving their customers, users, supporters and partners the opportunity to invest - as well as investors across Europe.

Aside from learning more and more about entrepreneurs, ideas, early-stage investment and dusting off my legal skills, whilst remaining relatively obsessive about cooking, sport (in particular the roller coaster ride of Oxford United), and my growing family.
