Frank Barbieri

I am lucky enough to have had two fine careers and one wonderful fiance (soon to be wife!). I was a photojournalist in my twenties and that lead to working in digital media at MSNBC in the mid 90s. I've been doing digital media ever since and built and sold a couple of companies, most recently Transpera, the first mobile video ad network. I now run emerging platforms for video ad network YuMe. In my ever dwindling spare time I advise several technology companies and venture capital firms. My charity of choice is Share our Strength, an organization dedicated to eliminating childhood hunger in the United States by 2015.

I have lived all over the world including Boston, Seattle, Bangkok, Missouri, NYC, Budapest and El Ay. Now San Francisco is home and, when I can, I sail big and small boats on the Bay and around the world. The picture here is me making a repair on the top of the mast after crossing the Atlantic Ocean the summer of 2010.
