Frank Cockerill is the past chair of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology, and practiced Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases for over a decade before shifting his focus to Clinical Microbiology. His research interests range from basic discovery to applied science.He is also the Chair of the Mayo Clinic's Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.
