Fred A Schwartz

A graduate of the New York University School of Law, Fred A. Schwartz serves as partner in charge at the Boca Raton office of Kopelowitz, Ostrow, Ferguson, Weiselberg, Keechl (KO), P.A., a full-service law firm. He comes to his present position with numerous years of experience as a trial lawyer, specializing in white collar and civil criminal matters. Fred A. Schwartz has represented clients brought up on charges by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, and the United States Attorney’s Office in 25 federal districts.

Early in his legal career, Fred A. Schwartz worked in the district attorney’s office for Queens County and Kings County in New York. While at the Queens County DA’s office, he served as chief of the narcotics bureau, the Supreme Court trial bureau, and the rackets bureau. During this time, Mr. Schwartz was asked to join the Federal Organized Crime Strike Force in Florida. Due to his hard work and dedication, he was promoted to deputy attorney in charge and, later, acting attorney of the Strike Force.

After leaving the federal government, Fred A. Schwartz went into private practice. He joined a number of smaller legal firms as a partner before coming to his current firm, Kopelowitz, Ostrow. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the South Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
