After dancing with Nevada Ballet Theatre, Gabriela received her MFA in Dance at the University of California, Irvine. Her thesis, Social Media as a Performance Space, was an exploration of creating dance for a Facebook audience. She has presented her paper, Ballet Uploaded: A Dying Art Revitalized Online at University of California, Riverside, for Dance Under Construction Graduate Conference in 2012. In 2013, Gabriela debuted her piece #Twitterpated at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica that incorporated live tweets and dance.

She works as a freelance social media manager for National Choreographers Initiative, Laguna Dance Festival, Celebrate Dance, Kerry Records, No Strings Attached Dance Company, and Live Arts Los Angeles. She is a social media consultant for DIYdancer, The Barak Ballet, and various upcoming artists in Southern California. Gabriela has guest lectured at UC Irivne, Cal State Channel Islands and currently teaches ballet for the Regina Klenjoski Dance Company.
