Gabriella Carden

Currently enrolled at Birkbeck, University of London (formerly Birkbeck College), Gabriella Carden is pursuing a BA in English. In addition to her studies, Carden is an aspiring foreign language teacher who hopes to learn German, Spanish, and Cantonese. Moreover, Gabriella Carden is a longtime student of music who has played the guitar for eight years, beginning with her studies in traditional Spanish guitar. At present, she plays the electric guitar and is learning the bass. She also sometimes practices playing piano tunes that she learned in her youth.

Aside from her musical interests, Gabriella Carden participates in the Cancer Research UK Race for Life every year. The long-distance running event aims to raise funds for research into the treatment of all forms of cancer.

In addition, Ms. Carden has volunteered for a wide range of philanthropic causes. During her gap year, she traveled throughout Asia and spent three months in an Indian village, where she taught English to local children and adults. She also worked with volunteers to build a new school.
