I'm a cat with nine lives. Burned through a few of them already. I hope I've got some more left!

For nearly 10 years I've been writing daily at gailatlarge.com. There are currently more than 4,300 posts about many topics but photography, travel, aviation, food, and volunteering feature most prominently.

If I had only one travel destination recommendation, it would be Cuba, especially if you are an American.
