I instigated Maine's first ever hackathon: Maine Civic Hack Day 2013. It was an explosion of awesome which inspired me to found Hacktivate to promote the growth of the technologist community.

I founded Maine Hacker Club in February of 2012 after having a life-changing experience at Music Hack Day 2011 in Boston. When I came back home to Maine, I knew that I needed to create a supportive and inspiring community of technologists and passionately creative people.

I am Co-Captain for Code for Maine, a local volunteer brigade for the state of Maine. We're trying to feed the hungry, coordinate volunteers for non-profits, and bring solutions to many other community problems.

I currently work as the developer evangelist for Parse.ly, where I write a lot of python code as part of a distributed team.
