The Bankers Association of Bahamas selected him as its President in 1983. He was also a Director of Nassau Flight Services. From 1990 to 1992, Gary Christie served as a Director of the government owned airline, Bahamasair. Gary Christie earned his BA in Economics at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and his MBA from Clark Atlanta University. He has done postgraduate work in International Finance at McGill University in Montreal. Gary Christie has additionally been accepted to Delta Mu Delta for his academic achievements in business. In his spare time, Christie is a dedicated jogger and exercises regularly. He currently resides in Nassau, Bahamas.
