Gary Herwitz

Gary D. Herwitz possesses a varied work history in the business world that allows him to close major ventures and help mid-size companies reach their goals. The founder of CoMetrics Partners LLC advises middle market companies on how to maximize profits by getting organized and adopting best business processes. Gary D. Herwitz’s company brokered 7 acquisitions since 2005, including juniors apparel line Boy Meets Girl and Campus Candy, a yogurt and sweets store whose reach spans universities throughout the U.S. He spent much of 2007 in China, where he assisted in the acquisition of the country’s 3rd largest timepiece retailer. Gary D. Herwitz also worked with Summit Logistics and Log-Net, supply chain service providers that later merged to form SumMetrics. He received prominent coverage in International Association of Business Leaders (IABL) publications and Women’s Wear Daily. Gary D. Herwitz began his career at accounting and professional services firm Mahoney Cohen & Company, which he led as President for eight years. The company ranks in the top 20 firms of its kind in New York City. More than 30 years ago, Gary D. Herwitz graduated from Syracuse University, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Transportation and Distribution Management. Gary D. Herwitz participated as a member of the Beta Alpha Psi honor society and The Martin J. Whitman School of Management’s Accounting Advisory Board. The entrepreneur engages in interests outside of fostering new business ventures. Gary D. Herwitz volunteers for the Organization of Rehabilitation Therapy and served as a former finance board chair for the nonprofit. He also sat on the finance board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City. In addition to his volunteerism, Gary D. Herwitz enjoys skiing and bass fishing.
