CEO and CFO in UK, UAE and USA

Venture-backed founder, dual background CEO & CFO, and a prior Army Special Operations Forces soldier.

My journey began in the internet's nascent stages, contributing to trailblazers like Spry, Netscape, USi, and Amazon. These early experiences honed my skills in launching disruptive technologies and innovative business models across the SaaS, Clean Energy, and Biotech sectors.

I am currently the Head of Venture Finance & Economics, and CFO In Residence at Mach49, where I work closely with corporate ventures to refine business models and develop financial plans, models, and strategies for clients in the US, UK, UAE, and KSA. I apply three decades of international experience leading companies through the intersection of operations, finance, strategy, and technology with a track record of leadership scaling ventures through revenue growth, IPO, capital raises, M&A, and partnerships.

Before joining Mach49, I founded and led Trelar Logistics, a vocational trucking marketplace and transportation management platform, from its inception to its acquisition by HaulHub in March 2020. Before Trelar, I served as a venture capital EIR and founded Helio Logix to provide CFO services to clients in IoT, Energy, Genomics, and SaaS, helping raise over $65M in capital.

Before Helio Logix, I served as president and CEO of Hy9 Corporation, an advanced materials and fuel cell company that patented and manufactured the industry's first pure-hydrogen liquid fuel processor, leading to a strategic exit in 2015.

Before Hy9, I partnered with Dr. Stephen Wolfram to launch Wolfram|Alpha, the world's first computational knowledge engine. Before Wolfram|Alpha, I led Amazon Kindle periodicals business development during launch, growing to a $1B ARR line of business.

I hold a PMD from Harvard Business School and graduated from the JFK Special Warfare School. I have a BS in Sociology from the College of Charleston and an FAA, multi-engine, instrument, and commercial pilot.
