Gary Robinson has been an entrepreneur, business consultant, and life coach for many years and in many different capacities. Since starting his first business in 1991, Mr. Robinson has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that he passionately shares with others.

Among Mr. Robinson’s many accomplishments, he is notably the first graduate of any Historically Black College or University with an undergraduate degree in Entrepreneurship. While attending Hampton University, Gary also obtained several scholarships while running a profitable landscaping business and purchasing real estate. Upon graduation, Mr. Robinson began working as a mortgage broker for Americare Mortgage. He quickly rose through the ranks to become a partner in the Virginia branch of the company and eventually bought out the original owner within 18 months of starting at the company.

Fortunately, these accomplishments led to many other opportunities for Gary to speak and intend government and industry events. In 2000, Mr. Robinson and his company were given their first government contract to manage a collegiate entrepreneurship program for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency. As a result of that first contract, Mr. Robinson and his partners were encouraged and supported in founding the National Entrepreneurship Association.

Mr. Robinson was given another opportunity to expand his skills when he was offered a partnership position with Out the Box Web Productions in 2005. Located in New Orleans, Out the Box was a growing IT company that had a number of major public and private sector clients. After coming onboard, Mr. Robinson helped the company acquire a $5 million contract to manage the GIS systems for the City of New Orleans. Unfortunately, Hurricane Katrina hit the City in August of that year and destroyed the business.

Since then, Mr. Robinson has continued to consult and coach individuals, business owners, and entrepreneurs. Now living in South Carolina, Mr. Robinson has added ministry and life coaching to his skill set. His combination of business and interpersonal skills has allowed him to help countless entrepreneurs create and sustain their businesses. Gary is now the Executive Director of Orangeburg Regional Innovation Center which covers an eight-county region in South Carolina.
