I'm a full-time student with aspirations to become a web and mobile developer. My ultimate dream would be to combine those skills with my longtime love of blogging and social media for a game or comics company.
I've always adored computers and the internet. My first computer was an Apple IIe. Later, the sound of dial-up meant infinite possibilities for learning and socializing. Around the age of 16, I was blogging before it was called "blogging"! I've been using the internet as a platform to share and discover ever since.
My main blog, Geek Piñata, is a collection of many hours spent scouring for all things gaming and comics. I especially keep an eye out for artists & fandom: artists and fans (sometimes they are both!) create some incredible work inspired by these mediums and it's work that deserves to be shared. Being a die-hard Mass Effect fan, I also run a blog solely dedicated to my love of FemShep.
Blogging led me to dabble in writing for other sites. I'm contributor for a gaming website and a comics/culture website (listed above). Yet, the blogging doesn't stop there! I also enjoy blogging about additional interests on my personal site.
My interest in the internet and blogging led me to look at website source code. I wanted to figure out how everything worked, and to do that, I'd dive into code and play. I enjoy dissecting source code for hours just to see what everything does. These days I'm also diving into learning about how code works for mobile devices. If I'm not at home on a computer or on Xbox/PS3, I'm on my phone or my kindle fire. :)
