Gemma Youngman

I have 'oh so nearly' gained my degree as a Graphic and Digital Designer and what a journey it's been. From design to execution, each new project presents me with the opportunity to push limits creatively and technically. Reflecting on my past years at the University of Greenwich, I'd say my focal points tend to lay with typography, editorial design and book design. I keep developing these skills and interests in the designated projects. In many of my projects, I always find a little bit of time at the start to enter the 'creative playground' which have proved worthwhile for learning and trying out new stuff. In June 2011, relevant work placements provided me with some great exposure as a designer still eager to learn, and generated a good base that allowed me to leave my position at the placement and return to university a rejuvenated and fresh minded designer.

When I'm not thinking about or actually doing design, I love exploring new places for holidays, socialising with friends, finding new and relative exhibitions and travelling to London for a spot of retail therapy.
