When Gene and Julie Gates wed in New York City's Grand Central Terminal, the New York Times rushed to cover the story about their romantic ceremony. When Oprah Winfrey heard about Gene and Julie she invited them to Chicago to be guests on her talk show. Gene & Julie Gates are a dynamic husband-and-wife broadcasting duo who has aired their morning radio show to over 3.5 million listeners in some of America's most competitive markets, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta and Dallas.

Most recently, Gene & Julie hosted mornings on Dallas' legendary KVIL, a crown-jewel property for CBS Radio. Their show is about their marriage, relationships and pop culture. Since their first broadcast together in 1995, Gene & Julie have attracted a flurry of media attention for their good work, including profiles in PARADE Magazine, The New York Times, USA Today, CNN, ABC's "Nightline", NBC Nightly News, Country Music Television, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

The Gene & Julie Show is recognized by the radio industry as one of the best in the country. At the Achievement in Radio Awards, Gene & Julie took home the "Best Morning Show" trophy. For five consecutive years, industry trade magazine Radio & Records nominated Gene & Julie as "Best Show" in America. Jezebel Magazine recognized Gene & Julie as "Movers & Shakers: The People Who Make the City." And to top if off, Gene & Julie have been nominated twice for the "Oscar" of the radio industry: the Marconi Award from the National Association of Broadcasters.

When the microphones are off, Gene & Julie are doting parents to their 9-year-old daughter, Sophia.
