Geody Bennett

Louisville, Kentucky, native Geody Bennett balances her career in education and small business management with community engagement and outdoor hobbies. She currently serves as a substitute teacher at Highland Presbyterian Church Nursery and Weekday School and she owns and operates the home craft company GEOprints. At GEOprints, Geody Bennett designs and prints table linens and kitchen towels made of high-quality materials, including hand-carved linoleum. She sells her items on Etsy.com.

A licensed clinical social worker since 2006, Geody Bennett possesses a master of science in social work from the University of Louisville and a bachelor of science in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. From 2000 to 2005, she worked as a school counselor at Holy Spirit School in Louisville, where she led individual and group counseling sessions and worked with teachers to implement effective learning plans.

In her free time, Geody Bennett enjoys contributing to nonprofits; in the past, she has supported Home of the Innocents and St. Joseph Orphanage, among other organizations. Ms. Bennett also likes to travel, in particular to the Rocky Mountains and to North Carolina’s coastline.
