Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal possesses almost two decades of experience in the finance industry, having commenced his career at Citicorp Investment Services and First Union Securities in 1992.

After 18 years in senior advisory and money management positions, Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal created Skyline Capital Management, an independent investment advisory firm. As the firm’s Chief Investment Officer, Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal specializes in principal preservation investments, with locked returns from the equity and fixed income markets, through a unique and innovative method.

Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal also serves as an Adjunct Professor and Lecturer of Economics and Finances at multiple universities, both within the United States and abroad. Frequently interviewed for his expertise, Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal has been quoted in TIME magazine, SmartMoney, Fortune, the AARP Bulletin, and USA Today, among others. Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal has also published articles in multiple industry journals, including the Journal of Financial Planning and the Journal of Personal Finance. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a focus on Finance, Management, and Marketing, from Columbia College, Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal later earned a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and a Doctor of Business Administration and Finance from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal’s dissertation focused on hedging strategies and risk/adjusted return analysis methods in equity index investing. At present, Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal is honored to serve as a Securities Arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

In his limited spare time, Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal is an avid traveler and has visited over 30 countries worldwide. Dr. Geoffrey VanderPal is also a passionate philanthropist and has worked with multiple charities.
