GEORGINA THIBODEAUX

Currently gainfully employed as a full-time Designer in a talent-driven multi-faceted company focused on developing concepts, projects, brands, and real estate. Formerly Georgina Pinnock, I am recently married, and in the process of building recognition as Georgina Thibodeaux.

As a recent M.Arch graduate of the University of Maryland, I consider my primary achievement to be the successfully implemented 3-part intern experience seminar through our NOMAS chapter, connecting students, architects and HR professionals for candid conversations about the job market. I am also fortunate to have participated in the Solar Decathlon design development studio and to have been engaged with the WaterShed marketing effort. Volunteer hours were contributed towards education through Architecture in the Schools, and the annual Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure events in Washington, DC. 

Developing on my organizational, communication and social skills, I have enjoyed two-and-a-half years as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, but I am eager to re-engage the challenges experienced during my years as an Architectural Assistant (2 years combined) and Architectural Intern (2 years). I served in support roles through all phases of a variety of projects, as a part of a team and as an individual, including producing details, coordinating drawing sets, developing digital and physical models, conducting code studies, networking with consultants and clients, creating and delivering graphic presentations, and conducting site visits. 

I continue to pursue professional development through an architectural internship, and will attain CDT and LEED AP BD+C credentials within the next calendar year. I am fully engaged the ARE/NCARB process, and actively identifying new opportunities for community involvement through architecture. Through my current position, I am diversifying my skill sets to include sustainable development through reuse and preservation, marketing, and construction administration.
