Background: I have been best described as a serial entrepreneur and guru with strategy, management, and design. Over the last 15+ years, I launched several successful startups and consulted the worlds greatest companies, executives, and visionaries.

Human Networks: Human Networks grows organizations aligning strategy to management objectives applying design concepts to maximize human touch points. Human Networks specializes in marketing, branding, strategic planning, change/transformation, portfolio/program/project management, process redesign, business model development, compliance/assurance, and IT management.

Second Line: Second Line is the first regionally-based Impact Investment Fund in the United States. Second Line is raising $10M investing in ideas creating social, economic, and environmental change. Second Line is also an accelerator. We partnered with leading consultancies accelerating market adoption applying narrative-driven, design-oriented business practices in our impact ventures. Second Line sponsored the Second Line conference in 2011 in partnership with New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation promoting the intersection of design, impact, innovation, and investment.

Mentorship: One my passions is mentoring entrepreneurs, activists, and community leaders. I work as a mentor for TED Fellows program. It is an amazing group of people. I am working with six fellows on strategy, business planning, product design, and fund raising. I am also working with Tulane and Loyola providing support to their entrepreneurship programs. In my spare time, I do jam sessions with budding entrepreneurs, social activists, and community leaders helping them position themselves and their organizations for crazy success.

I am publishing two books in the Summer of 2012:

  • Social Disruption: Designing organizations that change the world with disruptive social and business practices (ISBN-13:978-0-9852436-0-9)
  • Kaboom!: The 24 Hour Big Bang Boot Camp for taking idea to implementation (ISBN: 978-0-9852436-1-6)

My goal in life is to leave this world a better place than I found it. I believe everyone has been given an opportunity to improve society by applying our unique gifts.
