Gideon Rubin is the Chief Strategy Officer at NavAds, BV a Dutch geo-marketing business and the CEO of Simply Ideas a local marketing company. He is also an advisor to several software startups leveraging big data, machine learning, natural language processing and other predictive analytics technologies including Shout About Us and OrgStars.
Formerly Gideon was the CMO and CRO at Local Market Launch and the Santa Barbara Champion for The Startup America Partnership.
In 2007 he founded the Performance Marketing Agency, Simply Ideas (acquired by Lenco OTC: LNCM), focused on the education lead generation vertical and specializing in SEO lead generation. For Lenco, Gideon oversaw US Mobile Operations including mobile messaging mobile optimized website development and mobile broadcasting.
Gideon was a partner and founder at MicroGravity Media, an organic search marketing software company and a principal at Proper Hosting, a green hosting company, and several highly regarded social media ventures, including Twitroduce.com and DoDraw.com. Gideon has contributed to Search Engine Journal, Performance Marketing Blog, has been featured on Webmaster Radio, and his ventures have been selected by KillerStartUps.com and The Launch Pad.
Prior to launching Simply Ideas, Gideon was the Executive Director of Marketing, Finance & Analytics for a Washington Post (NYSE: WPO) startup and helped launch one of the fastest growing marketing and lead generation businesses in the Education Industry. Gideon began his career at Young & Rubicam Advertising (LSE: WPP) and was responsible for the print, TV, radio, online, and outdoor production management of the largest integrated ad agency account at the time, Citibank (NYSE: C). His account team won a silver Effie for advertising effectiveness on behalf of their innovative “PC Banking” campaign.
Gideon has experience working on interactive campaigns for brands including TamiFlu, General Motors, Kaplan University and others. Gideon graduated Cum Laude from Brandeis University with a B.A. in History and a certificate in Legal Studies and received his MBA from the University of Miami with honors in Finance and Applied Statistics. He is also a member of the international business honors society, Beta Gamma Sigma.
