Marketing Leader, Senior Executive, and Search Marketing Expert in San Diego, California

Gideon Rubin is the CEO and co-founder of Local Data Exchange (LDE), an API-first data infrastructure company founded in 2017 that powers local SaaS marketing platforms, directory publishers, and traditional media companies building software for SMBs. LDE's pre-built APIs cover business listings, reviews, competitor analysis, and rank tracking — serving over one million businesses across its platform. He is also the founder of Ezoma, an AI discovery platform helping local businesses get found by AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini, and Mr Choco, an AI-powered craft chocolate discovery app built on Claude Vision and retrieval-augmented sensory research.

Beyond marketing infrastructure, Gideon is a co-founder of Blue Valley Chocolate, a single-origin, organic-certified bean-to-bar chocolate company operating a cacao farm in Costa Rica, where he applies AI to fermentation curves, roasting profiles, and sensory flavor analysis. Blue Valley and its luxury sub-brand, Maleku Chocolate, have earned seven International Chocolate Awards and are distributed through Four Seasons, Planet Hollywood, and select fine dining establishments.

Previously, Gideon held senior operating roles as Chief Strategy Officer at NavAds BV, a Dutch geo-marketing firm, and as CMO/CRO at Local Market Launch. He also served as CEO of Pandio, an AI connectivity platform for enterprise data-driven decision-making, and was the Santa Barbara Champion for The Startup America Partnership. Earlier in his career, he founded the performance marketing agency Simply Ideas (acquired by Lenco Mobile, OTC: LNCM), where he oversaw US Mobile Operations. He was also a partner at MicroGravity Media, an organic search marketing software company, and a principal at Proper Hosting, a green hosting company, among several social media ventures.

Gideon began his career at Young & Rubicam Advertising (WPP), where he managed print, TV, radio, online, and outdoor production for Citibank — the agency's largest integrated account at the time — and was part of an account team that won a Silver Effie for advertising effectiveness on the "PC Banking" campaign. He later served as Executive Director of Marketing, Finance & Analytics for a Washington Post (NYSE: WPO) startup, helping launch one of the fastest-growing lead generation businesses in the Education industry.

Gideon has contributed to Search Engine Journal and the Local Search Association, and speaks on Applied AI for local marketing, agritech-to-consumer pipelines, and algorithmic change. His graduate research at the University of Miami Herbert Business School — where he earned an MBA with honors in Finance and Applied Statistics — focused on the statistical analysis of Google's algorithmic variance across international borders and linguistic structures. He graduated Cum Laude from Brandeis University with a B.A. in History and a certificate in Legal Studies, and is a member of the international business honors society, Beta Gamma Sigma. He has 5 successful startup exits to his name.

Based in San Diego, CA and Tenorio & Brasilito Costa Rica.
