Gillian Rowe is a solution-oriented individual passionate about helping private sector businesses develop as vehicles of wealth, financial mobility and positive influences on economic trade. Her work in the trust and corporate service provider industry, has allowed her to promote best practices and structures that will facilitate sustainable business success.

As a consultant with Lex Nova Core, she has worked with small and medium-sized businesses to achieve their next level targets. As the programme manager of Positive Planet UK’s Women’s Venture Incubator, she leveraged the need for corporate connectivity to offer equal access for entrepreneurs, start-ups and women-lead businesses who were ready to receive investor and venture development. Her academic training includes an LLB from Northumbria University and she is pursuing her master’s in International Commercial Law from the University of Salford, UK.

Gillian is the co-founder of the grassroots, literacy-focused, non-profit organization, Read For Life Inc. Read For Life, where she now holds an advisory role, has hosted projects in Barbados, Guyana, Dominica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines for over 10 years. She continues to promote the value of literacy as the author of the silver-award winning children’s book “But Johnny Didn’t Hear Me” and other titles.

Her contributions to youth development continue through JCI Barbados and she participated as a delegate in the 2017 World Festival for Youth and Students in Sochi. Gillian is also a musician and a proud member of the Barbados National Trust.
