Ginger Stell

Raleigh, North Carolina

Ginger Stell, who will graduate with honors from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013, brings a considerable amount of experience working with animals to her studies in the classroom, as well as to her clinical work. Ms. Stell spent two summers as a pet nurse and veterinary student at Banfield Pet Hospital, where she performed a number of laboratory duties, assisted with medical operations, conducted physicals, and interacted with clients to keep them apprised of their pets' health. In addition, Ginger Stell worked for more than two years at the Carolina Raptor Center, helping to rehabilitate injured birds of prey and prepare them for re-release into the wild. During a three-week externship at the Humane Alliance of Western North Carolina, she spayed and neutered more than 60 dogs and cats, using the “high-volume, high-quality” model for spaying and neutering.

After earning her DVM, Ginger Stell hopes to use her education and prior experience in a position at a small animal hospital. She maintains a particular affinity for feline medicine, and she looks forward to fostering the special bond that exists between humans and animals.
