Business
Giovanna is MD of Forte Medical Limited, the company that developed and sells Peezy, the prenanalytical colleciton system invented by her GP brother Dr Vincent Forte. The business launched when Peezy won the first Medical Futures Innovation Award in 2001.
Urine is a "window to health". It can provide a lot of information a doctor needs to make an accurate diagnosis. British-made Peezy is the new-generation urine collector that improves and dignifies the process for women, the elderly and the very young. For the NHS, Peezy can save huge sums of money on retesting too.
Forte Medical has new products under development; Awards we have won include:

- Design Week Awards Best Industrial Design 2009
- Design Week Awards Best of Show 2009 (we beat the Apple MacBook Air)
Ab Fab
From modernist architecture to luxury vodka: Giovanna's former PR business, Forte Communication, conceived and managed long term sales-led communication strategy for clients and established a reputation for increasing business. She still consults for people and projects she likes.
A word of advice
Giovanna presents and runs workshops on PR. raising business profile and reputation; she has done this for Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication and the g2i Business Network.
Family
Giovanna has two clever and accomplished daughters. Alessandra is a student of History and Hispanic Studies at Liverpool University, currently working with NGO Casa Allianza in Mexico City, and Giorgia, Patisserie Chef at The Albion and Boundary, top London cafe and restaurant.
Giovanna is an enteprising bon viveur, who enjoys Radio 4, a spot of Jazz, the FT Weekend and good books.
