Gloria had been playing music and singing music, starting with the accordion at 8 years old. "My Mother was my first Mentor showing me how to "Put over a song" while she was washing the dishes in our New York City apartment and Dad strongly encouraged me".
Her passion for the arts led to her winning lead roles in school plays and started teaching the organ at 18 years old. That was the beginning of her working with kids and teenagers and today she claims, it is her purpose. At 22 years old Gloria landed the role of "Anita" in West Side Story",sang at New York City Venues as Jillys and Pier 52 and then toured, as lead singer with Holly Loki, a Popular Haiwain dancer from "The Arthur Godfrey " Television Show. She then took a Hiatus,at age 27 to get married and raise her three children in New Jersey.A block away lived an 8 yr old.named Allyson Smith, who then landed the role of Annie on Broadway and Jennifer, Jane Curtin's daughter in Kate and Allie. "After befriending her Mom I would stop by and coach her. I just
love working with kids!". I then discovered that my daughter, Ashley, had vocal and acting talentTwenty two years later, Gloria resumed teaching children as a Vocal and Drama Coach for Iron Mountain Stage Company.She then returned to the stage as "Mrs. Sowberry" in" Oliver "and then was nominated for a Perry Award for her role as Jamie, a male drunk, in" My Fair Lady".
She then bought a piano and taught herself how to play it. A year later, she resumed teaching piano and Singing. Gloria then started writing music, which she considers an important healing tool.
Two years ago, she joined the Muzart World Foundation Train. One of her vocal students, Nayna Nambiar auditioned and became one of the Muzart Children to go on a World Wide Tour. She then met Milliea Mckinney, an Award Winning Songwriter and Founder of Conscious Music Entertainment. Gloria became the Vocal Coach of Josie Passantino, a 17 years old radio talk show host of The Josie Show. Josie's dream to write music and record her own CD came true. Her single "Teenage Girl" was recently released and going strong! "This is what "Conscious Music Entertainment" is all about. Gloria is now Director of Interviews and Promotion for Conscious Music Radio. She also continues to mentor children."When I Teach Kids I learn from Them ".
