I’ve worked in, or been linked to the photographic industry in one form or another for the past 30 years, starting my working career, first in a local camera shop, before joining companies like Colourcare International and Kodak Processing Labs. In the late 1990’s I left the photographic industry for a career in IT, where today I work for a sub devision of HP. With photography never far from my mind, in 2008 and following the release of Apple’s second generation iPhone and introduction of photo apps via the App Store, I coined the phrase “iPhoneography”, launched the iPhoneography blog, and so a new genre in photography was born. Now, and over 5 years on, I choose to shoot mainly with a Ricoh GR, occasionally a Leica X Vario, and when there is nothing else, the camera that’s always with me, an iPhone.
