Gregory Victory
Gregory J. Victory is the Director of the Office of First-Year and Transfer Programs at Syracuse University (SU). Victory has built on the success of the award-winning Syracuse Welcome and collaborate with units across campus to develop a meaningful and comprehensive experience for first-year students grounded in the principles of civic engagement.
Victory most recently worked for Colgate University as the director of the Center for Leadership and Student Involvement. At Colgate, he developed a comprehensive leadership development program, including a social entrepreneur boot camp for selected students. Prior to Colgate, Victory was part of SU's Center for Career Services for five years, first as assistant director and then as associate director. He holds a bachelor's degree in history and secondary education from Le Moyne College and a master's degree in higher education administration from Syracuse University. He is also pursuing a master’s degree in public administration, with a focus on non-profit management from the Maxwell School of Citizenship.
Victory is currently holds an adjunct faculty appointment in the communication and rhetorical studies department in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, where he engages students on topics related to a variety of issues including: social justice, civic engagement and professional responsibility. He is also the founder and principal consultant of an educational consulting business, “Leading2Victory”.
