I grew up in Shenandoah Junction WV, a small town where you knew everyone. A town that didn’t have stoplights and only a handful of stop signs. We did have a general store and a post office, which were the towns only businesses. Life in the Junction was very quiet and peaceful.

I grew up with a family of story tellers. From the young to the not so young, had a story to tell. My Mom and Dad liked to go night fishing, so, a lot of times it would turn into a family get together with some of my aunts, uncles and cousins. All through the night I could hear my Dad telling his stories. The rest of the family would jump in with a story of their own. That started my love for story telling.

I’ve spent most of my life working as a caregiver. I started at a young age by helping to take care of my dad who had severe rheumatoid arthritis. I’ve done different jobs along the way also, but, it seems like helping people is where I am most happy.

I started writing in 2004, but I never published anything until 2006, which was articles on Yahoo Contributor Network. In 2011, I published my first children’s book “How Elmer Lost His Hop”. I enjoy publishing articles on Wikinut .
