I was raised by wolves in the wilds of the inland Pacific Northwest (at least that is what my mother, Fang, always told me). When I was a kid I spent too much time drawing really awful comic books, making movies and selling pet rocks. Much later I studied industrial design, architecture, and new media. I am now a fancy-pants Professor at the Washington State University who teaches unsuspecting how tell visual stories with technology. I also write and illustrate children's books. I live in Eastern Washington State with my wife, two daughters, a very fluffy cat named Donatello, and several generations of dust bunnies.
