Investor Relations, Business Development, and Angel Investor in Taipei City, Taiwan
I offer investor relations services for Philippine companies at OnwardIR, and I also license medical devices and consumer products for the Taiwan market with Innovate-MED International. My professional background is in corporate communications, particularly in healthcare in China and Taiwan.
I was the Investor Relations Officer (IRO) at OBI Pharma, the global pioneer in Carbohydrate Immuno-oncology (Cancer Immunology) therapy.
My experience ranges from Big Pharma (GlaxoSmithKline) to Biotech (OBI Pharma) to a Boutique Funds Manager (Clemente Capital) to QFII Equity Research (Yuanta/Core Pacific). I taught English at Taiwan's largest buxiban (Hess), began Taiwan's largest web community for English speakers (Forumosa.com), and worked for Taiwan's largest trade website (CETRAnet, hey, it was #1 when I was there). I started my own scientific editing business (CME.tw), where I managed a global team of 4 editors helping authors submit to top medical journals in the US & UK. I passed the BELS Exam in April 2011.
A BELS-certified substantive biomedical editor and member of the Council of Science Editors, in addition to editing articles for medical journals, I conduct presentation workshops in Shanghai and Taipei. At GlaxoSmithKline China/HK (葛蘭素史克), I specialized in Business Intelligence & Corporate Communications
In my spare time, I edit 4 English bulletins for Catholic parishes in Shanghai and Taipei. I founded Forumosa.com and the Talking Taiwan Podcast, and keep trying to improve them. I taught OrgComm at the NYU in Shanghai program in 2010, and teamed up with another NYU alumni Wi-ding Ho of Tisch to produce an award-winning movie: Pinoy Sunday (Golden Horse 2010, TIFF 2010)
