I am a tech entrepreneur, early stage investor and activist. I am currently the General Partner of E14 fund investing in spin-offs out of MIT Media Lab. Before that I co-founded Wamda a platform and a fund investing in emerging market startups, mostly in the MENA region. I started a few companies before that mostly in the Boston area. The last one was Yamli a NLP startup which we sold to Yahoo! in 2012. I was also a founding Engineer at Mok3 an MIT spin-out working on image based modeling software. In between I worked at ATI and was lucky to work on the GPUs very early on. I have also started a few non-profits and been part of a number of activist movements, which got me really interested in the concept of communities and their power in contrast to short lived movements.
