I'm a Scottish journalist, broadcaster and television presenter - currently working with France 24 and RFI.

Like most "media types" however, I also have a knack for the absurd. Past indiscretions include rapping in Chinese and singing "We Are The World" at the Shanghai Expo, playing Brazilian Samba on the Great Wall of China, compering a wedding dressed in a Peking Opera costume, and having my face printed on a stamp.

I also presented the weather to over 85 million viewers worldwide. Click here to see more of my work in China, and here for a sneak peek into what it's like behind the scenes when the aircon and the mics in the studio break down.

I'm now based in Europe full-time, splitting my time between Edinburgh and France (Scotland is home, but France has nicer cheese and wine), and writing a book about my experience as a weather girl in China.
