I started this journey with one main goal...start a novel and finish it! I began writing my first novel in 2009. I believed I had to try writing it 'the old fashion way' by pen and paper. That lasted maybe a month - writers cramp big time! I changed to digital and finished my first novel "Beginnings" in 2010.

For a first time author, I was over the moon impressed that I had writen something from scratch - all the ideas - mine...all the pictures, drawings - mine... the next step*****

I wasn't too sure. I thought I'd let a few of my very close and trusted friends read it so they could give me their honest opinions on it. I got some really good feedback and some not so good feedback. The next thing each group had in common - why not try to get it published?

Now, as a first time novelist with absolutely NO experience in the publishing world I thought - "Ya, why not - can't be that hard...right?" WOW was I wrong.

Along the way I've learned writing for me is the easy part! It flows, it writes itself. What I find extremely difficult - editing, proof reading - rejection:(

Just when I'd think - hey this is it - The novel is complete...I'd get new information and start all over again.

I am greatful to my extended novel family. Eachone is the reason "Beginnings" is the read it is now.
