Meg Cotner

I am a Portland-based freelance writer and editor and the author of "Food Lovers' Guide to Queens," a guide to restaurants, shops and markets in the borough of Queens. I've written for the NY Daily News, About.com, Thrillist, Paste Food, Brownstoner, and Specialty Food Magazine, among others.

Additional writing and editing pursuits include copywriting, proofreading for a mid-sized publishing house, development communications (fundraising), and I edit two hyperlocal print magazines in the Portland area, where I get to interview and write profiles of interesting people of PDX.

I've had my fingers in many pies over the years, including managing the Hellgate CSA, founding the Queens Swap, and publishing We Heart Astoria, an award-winning lifestyle blog about the community of Astoria, Queens.
