Before EdgeTheory, Harper was an accomplished video game developer, creating 25+ unique games for TI graphing calculators that have been downloaded more than 500k times. This led him to graduate from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Computer Science. Harper spent two years on the crew of a 65' yacht that crossed the Pacific Ocean. He worked at Saks Fifth Avenue developing phone and web authorization systems for credit cards. During business school, Harper worked for Microsoft as a market analyst, worked in service finance for Dell and provided multiple tech startups and a venture capital fund with marketing and strategy support. He also led financial analysis for a billion dollar Department of Defense program.

Harper graduated from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Computer Science and graduated from the University of Texas with an MBA. He lives in Jackson, MS with his wife Gini and his two little boys, Eli (3) and Abe (1).
