Healey Cypher (yes, that’s his real name) is the co-founder and CEO of OAK. His passion is to elegantly infuse technology into physical retail. And along-side his amazing team at OAK, they are off to a good start with the recent launch of the Oak Interactive Fitting Room with Polo Ralph Lauren. OAK is headquartered in San Francisco, CA and has a showroom/office/lab on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Before founding Oak, Healey founded and led the Retail Innovation team for eBay, Inc where his team launched the Rebecca Minkoff Connected Stores, Kate Spade Saturday WindowShops, and projects with Nordstrom, TOMS, Sony, Westfield, and the Simon Property Group.

Healey has had a pretty good run so far in retail - he was recently selected as Women Wear Daily’s “Ten of Tomorrow” and hosted the Next Generation of Retail Stores session at SXSW Interactive in both 2014 and 2015. He regularly speaks at NRF & shop.org and has been interviewed by top-tier media including CNN, Fast Company, the New York Times, Forbes, WWD, TechCrunch, The Wall Street Journal, VentureBeat, Entrepreneur, TIME Magazine, CBS, Fox, and more. (Sorry, that last sentence was kind of ridiculous.) At age 29 he was selected as “40 under 40” by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, and at age 30 was awarded “40 under 40” by design:retail magazine.

Prior to his tenure at eBay and Milo, Healey worked as a consultant in New York City. He is an alumnus of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and from Nebraska, but spent the majority of his early life in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. #wut
