A big thinker who likes to discuss solutions to pressing problems, Heather is a the Director of Frontier Technology Research at the Asia Society.
Heather began working in Artificial Intelligence when she launched her second company, Spreza (now dissolved). She was then selected as the first Sr. Advisor in Advanced Technology Strategy for the Government of Ontario focused on A.I. (as well as Quantum Technology).
Heather helped establish the Vector Institute and the Quantum Valley Ideas Lab. Her work in Ontario was recognized with the highest level award for civil servants, The Amethytst Award.
Heather's career has developed rather unexpectedly, prompting the inspiration for her Tedx Talk.
She launched her first company Mosaic Manufacturing while studying at Queen's University. Mosaic is the 3d printing technology company behind The Palette, an accessory that enables multi-input desktop 3d printing. Mosaic launched a successful Kickstarter and has delivered the Palette to customers around the world.
Heather has worked with the Centre for Social Innovation, and is a graduate of Canada's Next36 program.
Heather redesigned the Policy developing process for 2018 G7 Youth Summit in Ottawa, and led the Canadian Delegation to the Y7 in Italy. She has worked with the National Academies of Science and the Royal Society, and been invited to the St Gallen Symposium to discuss "AI & Creativity".
Heather has worked United Nations Youth Assembly, the World Business Dialogue, The Start Summit and Business Today. She is a graduate of Schwarzman College and received her masters degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing.
