Heather Coleman

I am currently a government consultant and content strategist supporting the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) project at Aquilent. I apply more than 15 years of experience in content strategy, communications, writing/editing, user experience, social media and SharePoint administration. I help make well-designed, simple, and functional government websites and encourage clients to engage with citizens through technology. I presented at IgniteDC #6 in 2011, This Is My Brave - the Show in 2014, and at the Mental Health America Conference in 2015. I am the mom to two amazing children (ages 10 and 8). I won back to back Supershot basketball championships in Timonium, MD. I earned my MBA from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Castleton University in Vermont.
