Heather Goss

At Air & Space / Smithsonian magazine I edit feature aviation and aerospace stories for print, and write for The Daily Planet blog and Twitter.

I'm also the founder of Exposed DC, an organization that supports Washington, D.C. area photographers. The venture is an evolution of the DCist Exposed Photography Show, an annual contest and exhibit started in 2006. We produce a photo magazine with the winners each year, and our website offers information, challenges, and social events for local photographers.

Previously, I was the arts and managing editor of the news website DCist, and an attorney at Mayer Brown LLP.

I have a degree in non-fiction writing from Ohio Wesleyan University, where I minored in physics and astronomy, and a law degree from American University.
